Rheumatoid Arthritis Factor

This test measures an autoantibody in the blood which is linked to inflammation. The RA test is helpful for aiding in the diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis, an autoimmune disorder which can cause pain, stiffness, and deterioration in the joints.

This test is typically ordered when a person has symptoms of Rheumatoid Arthritis such as pain, warmth, swelling or stiffness in the joints.
