Estradiol

Estradiol is one of the primary components of estrogens. Estradiol concentrations are typically highest in non-pregnant, pre-menopausal women. During menopause, estradiol levels drop significantly due to decreased ovarian function.

Estradiol testing is typically ordered for women who are experiencing infertility, abnormal menstruation, or symptoms of menopause.
